Currently hate myself for not updating this weekly but I will from now on as I said one of my New Year resolutions was to be more organised so here you go :). Since being back for Xmas I've realised my French is no where near where I want it to be, so I've brought books. Not just some French books, but if I'm gonna be honest with you guys I have about 15 now. Realised I've become a little hoarder for cheeky little French novels with a cute cover or catchy title. It's really helpful though, I try to do at least a chapter a day and I just will circle and translate the vocal I don't know from that chapter & obviously learn it.
Decided to commit to a French tv show I actually like too, would recommend having a cheeky gander on YouTube for some series because you can find some really good ones there. Also decided to do a little French film night with my flatmates starting when we all get back to France to make us (more me) how badly I need to improve my grammar and learn more vocab if I want to keep up the audacity of telling people I can speak 3 languages.
In terms of uni I do really think it's helped improve my listening skills massively as now I generally don't have too many problems when it comes to understanding the local dialect and slang.
In other news, my China placement isn't going ahead anymore so I'm now in the process of extending my visa to stay in France for second semester. I've already been enrolled so I'm hoping it'll be pretty straightforward but then again French administration never is.
My flights booked to go back to Montpellier on the 4th of Jan (in a couple days), got mixed feelings about going back just because I don't know when I'll next be able to see my family again because of Miss Rona and although a FaceTime call is lovely from time to time it's not quite the same as listening to your Mum shout from the kitchen about her missing spatulas to literally 3seconds later shouting back that it's ok and that she's found it lmao.
All joking aside feeling anxious about it but it'll be sick I'm sure :)
